Meet the Board of Directors

The Ironwood Village Association Board is comprised of five members who work as a team in addition to serving in various designated capacities. Each board member, their backgrounds and their individual responsibilities are profiled here:

President
Mr. Dan Frigard
Along with my wife of 38 years, we have lived in Ironwood Village since 1994. Over the course of my career, I enjoyed a successful sales and marketing career in the field of high technology. This allowed me to venture off as an entrepreneur. Most recently, I retired as an independent, small business owner. Over the years, my wife and I have owned a number of personal homes, rental properties and commercial real estate. It is my pleasure to utilize all the knowledge and experience I have obtained over the years to help maintain Ironwood Village as a friendly, well maintained community that helps provide a superior quality of life to our residents. I share the vision of our homeowners to keep our community vital and implement cost effective measures to help Ironwood Village maintain an up-to-date appeal. My initial focus will be on improving communications and involvement between the board and the community.

Vice President
Mr. Morgan Ive
My wife, two daughters and I have called Ironwood Village home since 2001, when we relocated here from Virginia. We enjoy the neighborhood very much, and are actively engaged in our careers, a variety of sports, local schools and our church. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this past January and are the proud parents of two teenage girls. We have one daughter at Copper Ridge and another at U of A. My professional background spans the past 20 years and has been focused on construction and commercial real estate. I have bought and sold a number of residential properties and am an avid student of the real estate industry. My work experience has fostered an ability to build consensus with others and find solutions to problems. I am a collaborator and a listener, and believe I can leverage those skills to the benefit of the board and the residents. My objective is to achieve results that create value for the community, and help realize the potential that our community has by virtue of its proximity to some of the finest residential neighborhoods in the United States. I am pleased to have the opportunity offer my time and experience to the community.

Treasurer
Ms. Karen Kass
As a resident of the Casitas in Ironwood Village in since 2004 (located near Pima / Downing Olson), I hold a position on the Casitas Board. The Casitas are the only Ironwood Village neighborhood to have an additional association within the Ironwood Village HOA. In my professional career, I am the President of the Arizona Community Management Services, LLC, a HOA management firm. I have 20 years experience working with communities and associations. This experience allows me to help the Board better understand their options and make more informed decisions. I hold the highest level of industry education obtainable: Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) and the CAAM which is the Arizona certification. I care about our community and am honored to help look out for, and protect, our best interests. My goal is to help us strive to keep improving communications between the Board and homeowners.

Secretary
Ms. Jennifer Johnson
As a Scottsdale native and resident of Ironwood Village for 6 years, I am dedicated to strengthening and preserving community character. I am an Engineering graduate of Arizona State University and work in the Information Technology field. My vision for our neighborhood is to enhance homeowner involvement and open communication, to raise community spirit through planned events and informal get-togethers, and to increase property values by encouraging owner maintenance and improvement with an eye towards keeping annual assessments from rising. I would also like to focus on utilizing the management company and design teams effectively and to streamline HOA board activities.

Director
Mr. M. Jay Harry
A Board member since 2000, M. Jay Harry is currently serving his third term. Jay has lived in Ironwood Village since 1998 and has been a consistently enthusiastic supporter of our community. As a north Scottsdale residential real estate specialist, Jay fully understands the economic importance of maintaining Ironwood's esthetics and quality of life. Jay believes Ironwood is a fantastic community and wants to do his part to keep it that way. He feels we must plan to carefully implement any necessary improvements and safeguards to enhance the community's desirability. Jay will focus his efforts on the design and landscaping needs of Ironwood Village.
